Love Notes

The Following are the messages that you all left for Emma the first two months. We had Emma's site hosted at caringbridge.org and we are grateful to have had that. We switched providers for a few reasons, primarily to have more control. We couldn't leave without Emma's fan mail from her team.
There may be scrolling; there are 99 love notes here.
I plan to copy them to the posts that match their timing; but until that happens, here they all are.

Dearest Emma,

I pray for a hospital-free week for you too.  I hope with each passing day that you have less and less discomfort...that you feel better and more like a little girl than you have in a long time.

So many people love you and pray for your complete recovery...that has got to make you feel better in itself!

Love,
Gramma Linda

Dear Sweetie Pie Emma,
I'm sorry you are having fevers but glad you have so many good people on Team Emma who are there to help you get better!!!
Your Great Gramma BJ could tell you that when I was little I was in the emergency room so many times that they knew me on sight! :-)
I love you bunches!! I know a little secret about something that is in the mail coming to you!

Dearest Emma,

How are you doing today?  It sounds like it has been a rough week for you and your mommy and daddy.

I can understand why you don't like the oxygen mask and such.  I don't like the lukewarm air that comes in a scuba diving mask...I'm hoping, though, that you will get used to all of that.  You need lots of oxygen to help your body do what it needs to do!  Please remember that no one at the hospital or at your home will ask you to do something that isn't necessary.  They just want you to help you.

We love you, sweetheart!

Love,
Gramma Linda

Dear Emma,

Hello, my little trooper!  How are you doing today?  It sounds like it's a little bit of everything for you...some days good, some days not so good.  Hopefully, no matter what your day is like, good or bad, you know that everyone loves you and hopes you are doing better and better.

Please give your mom a hug for me.  It sounds like she needs one almost as much as you do!

Love,
Gramma Linda

Hello Emma & family As I went to lay my head down to get some over due rest I thought of you. Things for me have been so busy I had not checked in on you in a couple of days and had to log in. Luckly I also get live updates from your grandpa Clint. I know that you are probably in bed at this hour .... hopefully having sweet dreams but wanted to send a hug and a hello... so I will end with a Good Morning!!!

Dear Emma,

I'm so sorry to hear that you had to go to the ER again!  I could be wrong, but that may very well be your new "normal."  What I mean is, your mommy and daddy love you so much that they watch you carefully and run you to the ER whenever anything happens that isn't normal...until you are completely well, you may be doing that a lot.  But that's okay, because the doctors and nurses there can help you and guide your mommy and daddy as they need.

We love you and hope today is a better day for you!

Love,
Gramma Linda Techmeyer

Emma,
I am so pleased to hear this good news about you today!  Like your momma said, I too know that the battle with your disease is far from over; however, the findings are very good at this point, so I rejoice!  I danced a jig around my office as I wept for joy.  If I were there with you I would scoop you up and dance a happy dance with you!  Each day that we can feel good should be celebrated and appreciated!
I hope you are happy and that you know that Heavenly Father loves you very much.  We love you, too!!

Dear Emma, Merinda, and Clinton,

We'll take our blessings as we can!  We're so happy to hear that the first full round of Chemo has done its job!  We know it isn't the most wonderful thing to have to do, but we are so happy that the Leukemia is presently at bay!

Good job, Emma!

Dear Emma,

Hello, my darling!  How are you today?  I am hoping all is well with you, that you can play and have some fun instead of having to be serious and fighting hard against your leukemia.

We love you and pray for you all the time...every time you pop into our minds, we say a little prayer for you and your family.

Lots of hugs and kisses from your Gramma Linda!

Good morning Emma!  I saw a bunch of pumpkins and Halloween decorations yesterday.  I thought about how much fun it would be to go trick-or-treating with you!  When your mommy was little, I used to dress up and take her and your aunts and uncles out to lots of houses in our neighborhood.  Then we'd come home and have some chili and apple cider to warm us up!  I hope today is a very good day for you!!
I love you very much!  love,

Dear Emma,

How are things going today?  We hope you are feeling well.

I saw your mom's entry on your journal and thought to myself, it's really too bad that it has to be "who you know" that gets the job done well, but many times, that is the case!  I'm glad your neighbor could help to get you what you need(ed) when you were in the hospital!

Please give your mom and dad a big hug for Grampa and me!  I know they need those as much as you do!

Love,

Dearest Emma,

How are you doing today?  I imagine you may not be feeling as good as you did yesterday.  But we know you will be better tomorrow!

It sounds as if you have been eating well!  Your mom says you are putting some weight on! That's good!  You were kind of a "light weight" so more weight is good in your case!

We love you and pray that you will continue to do well!

Dearest Emma!

i sure have been thinking about you a lot this weekend as I have watched and listened to general conference. I hope you and your parents feel the love of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, as well as all their special angels that I know surround you constantly!

i was lucky enough to see your mom on the first day of clinic for you. She came to visit my daughter who was also at the hospital that day. Can you believe it? There she was taking care of you, but still making it a priority to show love to a friend. She gives the best hugs, I'm sure you know, and is such a bright light wherever she goes! I'm so glad you have such a very special mom to love and care for you. You sure deserve it!

You are in my heart and prayers, little girl!

Dear Sweet Princess Emma,

Your auntie is terrible at technology. I keep trying to write you a note, and it keeps disappearing before it posts.

I really wish I could be there with you and read you stories and give you hugs, but I'm stuck in California. :( Fortunately, I know you've got two of the very best parents in the whole world and and an amazing team of family, friends, doctors, and nurses, who are all taking super good care of you. Since I can't be there with you, I've put up pictures of you all around my desk, and every time I look up and see your smiling happy face, I say a little prayer in my heart for you.

You're the bravest little princess I know, and I'm sure that with all the wonderful help your getting, you're going to get through this with flying colors.

Lots of love,
Aunt Aleigh

Hello Princess Emma! You don't know me but I know your Grandpa Clint and Grandma Linda. I think you are so pretty! And boy what a lucky girl you are to have so many people around to take care of you. Only Princesses have that kind of love and care. You are so brave. What a great story you will have to share with other Princesses & Princes one day. Your story will help them too!
Stay strong & brave Little Princess! All the people in your kingdom are counting on you!
Signed by one of your secret admirers far, far away!

Hi Emma!  What a beautiful little girl you are.  I knew your Mom when we were kids.  We played in a fort in her backyard and we pretended there was a big foot monster at her house.  We made foot prints out of mud and then went to the basement and banged on all the pipes to scare everyone.  When we were older your mom and I even got to work at the same job painting schools.  Don't tell your mom I told you, but she was not very good at painting around windows.  Sometimes she would get mad and throw a tantrum and paint the glass where she wasn't supposed to!  Your mom is my very special friend and you are super lucky she gets to take care of you!  Emma I have 5 girls of my own and we all said a prayer for you tonight.  Remember  that Heavenly Father loves you and if you ever need help all you have to do is ask.  Keep smiling cutie!

Good morning, Emma!  I thought I'd send you an early morning message to say how much we love you and are looking forward to the time when you will be completely well and able to go outside and play.  We know you are loved and that everyone who knows you, your family, or your family's family and friends are praying for you!  Every time we tell someone that our little Emma is sick, they say they will pray for you and that they will ask all their friends to pray for you as well.

We love you and hope you have a good day today!

Love,
Gramma Linda Techmeyer

Hi Emma! You don't know me, but your mommy and I were good friends and roommates in college. I'm sure you are having a tough week with a lot of frustrating things happening. I'm so glad you have an awesome mommy and daddy, family, and lots of friends who love you and will be praying everyday that Heavenly Father will bless you and keep you in His care. You are very brave and strong. (Love you, Mindy. I'm so sorry this is being put before you. Know that I am and always be on your team.) Your friend, Diana Croshaw

Hi Emma, my name is Scott and I sit next to your daddy at his work.  I have a little girl and she has spent a lot of time in the hospital with an annoying and frustrating medical situation that happened to her.  My daughter Chloe got through it and you will too.  :) I just wanted you to know that even your dad's nerdy co-workers care about you and we are all cheering that you get this frustration behind you as soon as possible.

We love you and will be in touch as you get into a "routine" and will be there to support you.  Thank you for having the skills to use the caring bridge and that way we can keep updated without bothering you all the time.  Love you much.

Hey Emma!

We made a few little things for you to hang in your room and add some color to your walls for FHE last night.  If you don't see them in the mail by Wednesday or so, then start bugging the front desk!  :)  We love you!  (You too Clint and Merinda!)

Love,

Dear Emma,
We just got the message that your momma put on this website that although you are sick, you are sick with a disease that isn't as bad as we feared.  We are still very worried about you but are feeling a little less sad.
We love you and send you hugs and kisses!

We are so sorry to hear about your pain.  We love you so much and want the best for you, your parents, and siblings. So many people are working to help you all through this time.  That means they love you just like we do!  Please work hard to be a big girl and do what the doctors and nurses say will make you all better!

We are so glad to have this website so we can check in on you and let you know we are thinking of you and praying for you.

  1. Emma,
I work with your Grandpa Clint (who you are so blessed to have by the way!) and I tried to post on caringbridge with no luck a few months ago. I and my 2 girls, Emily 12 and Lily 11 have been praying for you non-stop since your diagnosis. You are always in our hearts and prayers. I am so grateful to God for caring for you by sending you wonderful people to help you get better and give you the love and support you need. It sure looks like you have amazing parents as well!God is good all the time even when it seems not so. He grows us through hard times and in the end we will see how it all works for the good of those who love Him. I've heard that you are a wonderful person and I want to encourage you that you are definately not alone and there are people all over praying that you may not even be aware of. I hope you have such a wonderful Christmas!

    Huge blessings to you!
